This light weight wide angle lens inherits the renowned image quality of Samyang’s wide angle series and delivers a quiet, fast and accurate autofocus system.

Samyang 14mm. The first EF mount autofocus lens from Samyang encapsulates the brand’s universally respected optical technology, especially in the wide angle lens category.

From a total of 15 lenses in 10 groups, 7 special optic lenses have been chosen in the production of this lens, to maximise the image quality. The use of 2 aspherical lenses, 4 high-refractive lenses, and 1 extra-low dispersion lens minimises distortion and various aberrations while producing crystal clear resolution. The remarkably even image quality from centre to corner of the wide 116.6 degree angle of view appears distinctly on its MTF chart.

Importantly, the minimised weight and movement of the focusing lens group enables quiet and pleasant autofocusing with high accuracy. This compact Samyang AF 14mm F2.8 EF weighs only 485g without lens caps and hood and is the best travel partner to capture unforgettable moments onyour journey. Weather-sealing and a built-in AF/MF switch increase usability.

This world-wide Samyang AF 14mm F2.8 EF inherits the renowned image quality of Samyang’s wide angle series from the manual focus 14mm F2.8, the premium XP 14mm F2.4, the AF 14mm F2.8 FE autofocus lens for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras and professional cinema lenses, and the XEEN 14mm, 16mm and 20mm.

The lens will be available globally from February and a suggested retail price is EUR 699.

An IS equipped 85mm lens, a focal length popular for portrait photography!

The 85mm range of lens is  widely known primarily for portraits, due to the natural sense of distance and good perspective, very appropriate for portrait shots from the shoulders as well as facial close-ups from a distance that is comfortable and not too close to the subject. It can also serve as a 136mm equivalent telephoto lens when mounted on an APS-C camera, making it a popular focal length.

This new lens adds a large F1.4 aperture and IS functionality, expanding the 85mm line up that balances enticing features and price.

Updates: Nikon D850


Nikon must be so unhappy about this…… But since it has already been put out there on the net, thought that our readers would be interested to know…

Here are the leaked images of the Nikon D850.

From this picture, we can conclude that the D850 does not contain an in-built flash anymore in comparison to its predecessor – D810.


The camera has been put in comparison with the DF.


In this picture, you can see that the D850 will provide you with an extra option in comparison to the D810 – to shoot at RAW S, RAW M, RAW L, while the D810 only has options between RAW L and RAW S.

Hello you! If you’re an avid follower of our monthly favourites, apologies for our tardy post this month! To all our Singaporean followers, we hope you had an amazing time on our nation’s birthday with your loved ones! The months are passing by too quickly!
